a fantastic place but unfortunately very badly organised for tourism, infact it seems that tourists are not really welcome. I found only three places where there was a glimmer of a welcome and smiles. There are many restaurants but only some are worth the visit, Le Alpi and Raddicchi in Vagli sotto are good and friendly, the others seem to really dislike the idea of serving food to foreigners and have very little idea about what they are actually doing. Forget eating a pizza in this place as they are very bad quality, Gorfigliano, Campogiano and Castelnuovo offer a much better quality of pizza for the money you will have to spend. Visit Roggio as there is a nice restaurant and some great views. Do not believe any advertising about boats, canoes, horses and Tibetan bridges....they don,t exist! There was a beautiful campsite but that too is now closed.
